” The Dominicain ” is a wine cooperative set up in 1926.
Why this name ?
“Because our cellar is located in the former church of the Dominican monastery , monument of the thirteenth century and dedicated by King Jacques II of Majorca in 1457”
After the French Revolution, the building became the property of the state, which uses it as an artillery depot before putting it at auction.
In 1926, the cooperative growers of Collioure, buy this imposing building and decided to vinify and raise production in these walls steeped in history…
- AOP Collioure (white, rosé and red)
- AOP Banyuls (white, gold and red) and AOP Banyuls Grand Cru
- Table wine of Côte Vermeille (red)
- Rancio dry
- Banyuls vinegar
We produce about 1000 HL AOP Collioure and 2000 AOP Banyuls.
